A Lovely New Model and an Established Favorite

Yesterday, we were privileged enough to shoot our newest model for the BeautifulYouth Project, Michelle. Michelle proved to be a natural talent. The weather was our first concern- Friday had been well over 100 degrees (F) here in (truly) sunny California. Because of that, we moved the shoot location further toward the water in hopes of catching a nice Pacific breeze.

As it turned out, we needn’t have worried about the weather, as the day was much cooler and breezy, and much more amenable to shooting. We’re pleased with the shots we got on our first outing together, and we hope that everyone will be able to enjoy Michelle’s contribution to the BeautifulYouth Project for many years to come.

That evening, we had also scheduled a shoot with Kaylin- purposely scheduled in the evening to avoid the heat. Again, it seemed fate was not on our side, as the temperature dipped with the sun, risking our plans to do a shoot in the local water fountain. Kaylin, as always, was the consummate professional, though, and braved the chill waters to wade into the fountain for part of the shoot. As if to help, both her mom and little sister, along for the trip, helped keep the atmosphere fun by starting water fights, kicking water at each other with their bare feet. What a fun time- I’m sure you’ll see that it added an air of lightness to the whole shoot!
