A wonderful shoot yesterday with the model Alexander Mikhail- got to try out an idea I’ve been toying around with for awhile. We used paints to decorate Alexander, the backdrop, and, really everything within a 10-foot radius of the shoot site! Somehow, my camera was spared, so all was well in the end. Alexander had a great time, and we had some great pictures to show for it. I’m also glad I experimented with black-and-white shots, some of which turned out to be absolutely wonderful. At first the idea was counter-intuitive (hey, colored paint here!), but the contrast of the paint with the quirky lighting brought some engaging results!
