Recently, Kadabra was chosen to shoot the cover of a soon-to-be-published novel, tentatively titled &#8220;Wisdom From the Heart&#8221;, a zen take on the coming-of-age <a href=\"http:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/-IeT5M4esces\/TeHpYIXpNvI\/AAAAAAAAAEw\/mGZa7aZX4c8\/s1600\/kad-book.jpg\" onblur=\"try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}\"><img id=\"BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5612023211453134578\" style=\"cursor: pointer; float: right; height: 320px; margin: 0 0 10px 10px; width: 224px;\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/-IeT5M4esces\/TeHpYIXpNvI\/AAAAAAAAAEw\/mGZa7aZX4c8\/s320\/kad-book.jpg\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a>genre (I&#8217;ll post more info about the novel and ordering options when it comes out!)<\/p>\n<p>Last weekend, we shot the cover, and are happy to report that the author and publisher are happy with the outcome.<\/p>\n<p>It was a &#8220;coming home&#8221; shoot&#8230; the same backdrop that we used for Kadabra&#8217;s very first shoot six years ago. While we knew we would be in a battle for the light (logistically and artistically, we chose sundown for the best natural lighting), we spent what felt like a lazy hour along the shoals of the American River.
