Had a patron write a farewell letter this week. While the patronage exists as a way for fans of the project (who appreciate the artwork they see in the galleries) to help keep things going, I was taken a little aback at this patron’s goodbye.
However, I feel the photos are just not up to the technical quality I seek. I refer not to the subject matter, which is certainly well within their range, but to the poor technical quality of the images, which seem to feature overly repetitive nearly identical series, digitally rescued images, and generally lifeless, melancholy poses.
I guess it just goes to show you that Ricky Nelson was right in his “Garden Party” tune- ya can’t please everyone, so you got to please yourself.
